Expanding into 3-d sculpture seems a natural extension of artistic expression for Hornsby. Even his paintings have always been thick with texture and modeled with paint and added materials such as wire, paper, fabric, rock and sand, etc. So, according to the artist, these things are already sculpture-like in some ways. Also, the fact that many of his paintings are modular brings forth a sense of sculpture as well. "Creating, is always about the story, my fascination with any particular topic always inspires my story-related art." says Hornsby.
